Entries on the day; €5 Individual, €15 Club Team, €20 County Team
Venue; Galbally, Enniscorthy, Co Wexford                 Date; 21st March at 2pm
Take the N30 (Enniscorthy – New Ross Road). Take the R730 towards Wexford (8 miles from Enniscorthy side or 1 mile after Clonroche from New Ross side).  Continue for five miles, turn right to Galbally – follow signs).   (Google; Map of County Wexford) 
 
Leinster Affiliations
All Club Affiliations to Leinster (€25) should be paid to Co Treasurers as soon as possible (if clubs have not already paid) as payment from each County is due before the end of this month.
 
AAI Registration
National AAI Constitution states that for an athletic club to remain in existence, 10 members must be registered, 4 of which must be adults. A number of clubs within Leinster therefore have no athletic club status at present.
 
Starting Blocks
Co Boards may apply to Brian Dowling (Leinster Development Officer) for 10 Starting blocks which will be purchased from Athletics Leinster Funds

Portlaoise 5k - St. Patrick's Day

Portlaoise St Patrick’s Day 5k and Fun Run, will again take place on March 17th, 2010.
It will incorporate the Laois Senior Championships, and is being staged in association with the Heritage Hotel, Portlaoise.
Registration in the Heritage Hotel from 9am, race 11am
Prizes in the usual categories

Mountpleasant AC - Road Race
The re-scheduled 5k Road Race (run, walk or jog!), promoted by Mountpleasant Athletic Club, will now be held on Easter Monday, April 5th. It has been many many years since we were involved in promoting a road race. The club was  re-launched in September '09.

The club rooms are just minutes away from the M1; take the Carlingford exit and then follow signs.

National Middle-Distance Squad

National Middle Distance Squad session will be held at Tullamore Harriers Stadium on Sunday 21st March, checkin at 11.00 am.
 
The Programme will include a Training Session, a talk by Maeve Kyle - three times Olympian and one of Irelands foremost Coaches - and a discussion and advice on Race Preparation, Tapering, and Competition Planning.
 
Who should attend: any athlete aged 16 or over at or with ambition to progress to the top level in the sport at Middle Distance (800m/1500m), together with their Coaches.
 
A light lunch will be provided.

St. Patrick's Day 5k

KBC ASSET MANAGEMENT ST. PATRICK’S 5K FESTIVAL ROAD RACE DETAILS ANNOUNCED

Details of this year’s KBC Asset Management St. Patrick’s 5K Festival Road Race have been announced. The event will take place in Dublin on Sunday, 14th March beginning at 12.00 noon from the Mansion House where it will be officially started by the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Cllr. Emer Costello. From there it will follow a route through Georgian Dublin returning again to the finish line at the Mansion House.

Dunboyne AC - 4 mile road race
The 41st running of the Dunboyne 4 mile road race takes place on Sunday 28th March at 3.00pm. Due to road works on the M3, the race this year will be run over a new fast flat course. With the route twice passing through the centre of Dunboyne Village, and finishing at the traditional point next to the village green, there promises to be a great atmosphere with plenty of spectator support.

There is a substantial prize fund of over €3,000, along with a t-shirt for all competitors and a range of spot prizes. Chip timing will be used to record finish line times.

Online entry to the race is available for €13 on www.runireland.com or www.dunboyneac.com. Entry on the day is €15 and will be available from 12.30pm to 2.15pm on race day. Race registration, changing facilities, prize giving and post race refreshments will be in Dunboyne Community Centre as in previous years.

This year’s race is a joint fundraising event with Special Olympics Ireland. €2 from each entry goes to Special Olympics Ireland and sponsorship cards are available from This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  

Due to the continued support of participants from all across the country, the race continues to grow in strength, with over 450 entries last year. Your support is greatly appreciated and we hope to see you back in Dunboyne on 28th March.
