The Louth County Board have been hosting a series of open track events at the new 6-lane tartan track facility located at Bush School, Riverstown, Co. Louth (on the Cooley Peninsula).

Don't forget our final event in the series - Tuesday 22nd July - 200m, 800m, 300m

Each night will start at 7:00 PM and the cost is 2 euro per event.

Boyne Athletic Club are holding an open Sports Day on August 3rd at the Meadowview Sports Field in Drogheda. Details of the programme and contact information available here.

From Brian Dowling:
Some fine performances at the CSIT Games by a Leinster Development Squad, the outstanding one probably being a Golden double by Celbridge's Claire Brady, winning the 100m and 200m, the latter in a PB.
Double medals also for North Laois' Dan Mulhare (Gold in 1500 and Silver in 5000m, both PBs) and St Abban's Claire Phelan (Silver in 1500, Bronze in 1500).
Gold also for Brona Furlong (Slaney Oly) and Eoin Kelly (St Abbans) - both of whom flew in from Celtic Cup duty in Glasgow, Silver for Brian Farrell (Sli Cualann) in the 300m Steeplechase, while Peter McDonald (St Peter's) scored a bronze in the Javelin, also with a big PB.

Share the Dream
The rain held off and the blustery winds subsided during the meeting to showcase our Olympians, Roisin McGettigan and Fionnuala Britton.
A fantastic 1500m was the highlight of the evening with the Slí Cualann athletes Deirdre Byrne, Roisin and Fionnuala finishing in times of 4' 12.22, 4' 14.50 and 4' 28.23, respectively.

Please note that Leinster entries will no longer be accepted by e-mail or fax. Entries will only be accepted by post (with fees enclosed). Clubs will NOT be issued their numbers on race day unless they have paid their entry fees.
